Riikka Pelo’s “Our Daily Life” wins the Finlandia Prize

71Finland’s top literary award, the Finlandia Prize, has gone to Riikka Pelo for her novel “Jokapäiväinen elämämme” (“Our Daily Life”). Please read more at the Yle News.

Riikka is an associated artist and researcher at Crucible Studio. She frequently consults the studio’s research productions and was e.g. the dramaturgical design lead and teacher in the Tulse Luper Journey. She graduated from Media Lab Helsinki in 2004 with her Master in New Media thesis “Marina’s Garden. About writing storyspace in interactive spatial work” (“Marinan puutarha. Kertomuksen avaruuden käsikirjoittamisesta vuorovaikutteisessa tilateoksessa”). Her prize winning novel has continued the research of Marina Tsvetaeva‘s life, work and times.
