DIMEKE collaboration with Finnish Red Cross and Save the Children

DIMEKE – Content Development for Digital Media 2009–2011 is a Finnish national initiative, supported by the European Social Fund. Crucible Studio is a project partner.

The project organized a competition for small and medium-sized companies in autumn 2009. The winners of the competition are working on narrative product development for the third sector under the instruction of business mentors: Suomen Punainen Risti (The Finnish Red Cross)/ Communications Manager Hannu-Pekka Laiho and Pelastakaa Lapset ry (Save the Children Finland)/ Martti Härmä. The companies collaborating with the Finnish Red Cross are Undo Oy (Mika Tenhunen and Iiro Harri), and Alhambra Komedia (Tilda Korkeela and Hanna Seppänen). Save the Children is working on product development with Advant Games Oy (Kristian Valkama) in Tampere, and in Oulu. The Helsinki product developments are mentored by Petteri Huvio from Diges ry.

Further DIMEKE workshops are organized throughout 2010 and 2011. These are open for new participants, such as entrepreneurs and small businesses active in the fields of communication, marketing, game and content design.
